Disclosure about who carries out the work, and about licences in Texas
Terrell Water Damage Restoration runs a telephone and web intake for water damage and passes each request on. It does not pump out water, dry buildings, test for mold or build anything. The job is carried out by an independent, licensed local business, referred to here as the partner, usually the closest crew with room that hour, and that business alone is responsible for its inspection, price, equipment and workmanship.
To the best of our knowledge Texas issues no licence specific to water extraction, structural drying or moisture monitoring and none to general contractors. Plumbers are licensed by the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners. Mold assessors and mold remediators are licensed separately by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, and a single licence holder may not both assess and remediate the same project. Individual technicians may carry IICRC credentials, issued by a private trade body rather than the government. Neither Terrell Water Damage Restoration nor this website holds or claims any of these licences.
Anyone who wants the partner's licence number or its technicians' IICRC details can phone (833) 490-5225 at any hour, or ask when the partner calls ahead. For the privacy of those businesses the details are not shown on this site. Check any number with the issuing agency before work starts, and take insurance questions to your insurer or the Texas Department of Insurance. Nothing on this site is legal, insurance or engineering advice.

Prices are estimates
Price ranges are typical estimates for our service area in 2026. They are not quotes or offers. Your price is confirmed in person before any work starts.
Safety around water damage
Standing water can hide live electrical circuits: do not walk into a flooded room until power to that area is off. Sewage and floodwater (IICRC Category 3) can carry bacteria and viruses; keep children, pets and anyone with a weak immune system away, and do not handle contaminated materials without protection. Visible mold larger than a small patch should be assessed before anyone disturbs it. When in doubt, leave the area and call a professional.
Licensing, standards and insurance
Texas issues no single statewide licence for general contracting or for water extraction and drying. Specific trades are licensed: plumbing by the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners, and mold assessment and remediation, along with air conditioning work, by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR). Under TDLR's mold rules one licence holder may not both assess and remediate the same project, so testing and removal are separate jobs. The IICRC S500 (water damage) and S520 (mold remediation) standards are industry guidance, not government licenses. Insurance coverage is decided by your insurer under your policy; nothing on this Site is a promise of coverage or of a claim outcome, and information here is a summary, not legal or insurance advice.
